“Vou À Tua Mesa” [I Go To Your Table] was a three-part Art & Gastronomy project, comprising documentaries, dinner parties, show cookings, essays, interactive installations, radio shows and food performances, with the collaboration of filmmakers, visual artists, performance and dance artists, photographers, philosophers, anthropologists and musicians. The in-progress documentation was featured in both the Youtube Channel and the Blog.
Chef Rø goes Alentejo (2010)
[First Season] Filmed and produced in the Portuguese village of Montemor-o-Novo (Alentejo region), within the framework of a co-production between O Espaço Do Tempo and Nomad Dance Academy. Each theme-episode was created in a highly collaborative manner, gathering local food producers, restauranteurs, gastronomic festivals, foodies, and the other curated artists-in-residence from Portugal, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Austria. The season was completed with a video documentary, an installation and a dinner party. Close collaborators: Bruno Carnide (filmmaker), Nuno Miguel (philosopher) and António MV (visual artist). Chef Rø de volta ao Minho (Chef Rø back to Minho, 2011)
[Second Season]. Filmed Chef Rø‘s hometown Amares. A site-specific project produced by/for Festival Encontrarte 2011, in a close connection with the local community, restauranteurs, food lovers and several gastronomic projects in the Minho region (North of Portugal). The season comprises a video documentary, a pop-up restaurant, a foodjaying party, a poetic journal, among other activities. Special guests: Behave! (music project), Daniel Fernandes (photographer) and Rogério Nuno Costa‘s family and friends. Artwork: António MV.
[Third Season]. Filmed at the Portuguese villages of Candal and Manhouce (S. Pedro do Sul). A site-specific project produced by Binaural Nodar for the Festival Magaio Voicespaces, in a close connection with the local community, food producers and artists. The season comprised a video documentary, a sound art/radio show series, an installation and a community dinner party. Special guests: Isabel Silvestre (folk singer), Rádio Lafões, Patrícia Azevedo, Clare Charnley, Josef Sprinzak, Carmina Escobar, Toine Horvers & Myriam Van Imschoot. Artwork: António MV.
